Once upon a time, there were three little pigs. They felt compelled to leave their mother's home and construct houses of their own. The first pig was rather sloppy and built his house out of straw. The second pig was a touch more hardworking and built his house out of wood. The third pig, however, was very perceptive and took the time to build his house out of strong, sturdy bricks.

One day, a hungry wolf came along who was thirsty for pork. He found the first pig's house of reeds and pleaded to come inside. The little pig, of course, refused. The wolf then blew down the house with a single breath of air!

The first pig scampered to his brother's house of branches for shelter. The wolf followed, and once again pleaded to come inside. The two little pigs said no, but the wolf tossed down the house of sticks with just a few breaths! The two pigs then fled to their brother's house of bricks.

The wolf, now enraged, tried his best to blow down the sturdy house of mortar, but he just couldn't do. He struggled and puffed, but the house held strong.

Finally, the wolf concluded that he couldn't blow down the house. {Hesneaked up the stack hoping to surprise the pigs. But the clever third pig had already placed a pot of hot soup at the top of the chimney. The wolf fell into the pot and yelled, then fled as fast as he could. The three little pigs were safe at last!

They lived happily ever after in their sturdy house of stone.
